FutureMinder FAQ

Q: "What is this popup window I'm getting, when I go into Secure mode?"

A: That's your browser saying it doesn't recognize or implicitly trust the SSL (Secure Socket Layer) certificate FutureMinder.com is sending it. SSL certificates are used in the encryption of website data, preventing others from eavesdropping on sensitive or confidential information you send. In particular, SSL certificates are a way for an independent third party (called a 'Certificate Authority') to verify that the transaction is safe.

In our case, we aren't paying a third party for that verification process, because there isn't any super-sensitive information like Social Security Numbers and/or credit card numbers being passed around for FutureMinder.com. We're using encryption simply to prevent others from eavesdropping on what you send us. Feel free to click that you 'Accept' our "unsigned" (unverified) certificate if you feel comfortable with this arrangement.
